Priority Flat Rate boxen are free for the asking. Tormato could get a couple packets of the small ones. Then people could send him priority postage ($6 for a small FRB) and a label in a regular 49¢ envelope and no need for anyone to deal with bubble mailers at all.
Hmm. The easiest way is to print the full label, but that might turn out to be problematic. Tor?

One of the nice things about Priority mail is that the mail person will pick up the boxes or envelopes at your door. I know this as I used to ship a lot of stuff out for my ebay sales. You do have to print the postage, but it's easy to do.

The post office has free priority bubbler mailers. Postage used to be 6 bucks, think the last one I sent a month or so ago was now 7.20. Depending on your postal person, of which I have a great one, if you can't print postage, you can leave your package and the postage in your mailbox and they will pick up and put postage on for you. You can also call and ask for the flat rate postage stamp and leave money in your mailbox and they will deliver the stamp.

There's a FR stamp? I didn't know that. Thanks!
Like imp I did a lot of eBay sales, and you can print one of the big 4x6" labels right off the ebay site. (I believe you can do it from the USPS site too.) But you'd have to type in the address. A user-written label with a stamp would be much easier.

I use flat rate boxes/padded mailers for the bean people. The cost is somewhere between 6 and 7 dollars (one way). It might be over $7 for the padded envelope, currently. Participants use these because the weight easily goes past 13 ounces.
For tomatoes, peppers, other light seeds, and just a few packs of heavier seeds, first class and a plain bubble mailer is more economical. |

I don't know if there's a glitch, but I see the announcement post in the legumes and pepper topics on GW but not the other three.
ETA: Tormato, What about also doing an announcement on the Vegetable Gardening topic, it's a very active topic area? Last edited by agee12; September 2, 2017 at 06:40 PM. |

The varieties I've been doing two separate germination tests on showed a 33% germination rate - I will not be sending in seeds saved from 2017.
I do have plenty of seeds to send in pre 2017. |
