Default Hooray for homemade pesto!

DH was really nice and volunteered to make pesto tonight from the basil in the backyard. However, shortly thereafter, he realized we didn't have any garlic, so didn't think he could make it. I decided to try digging up a couple of the garlics that I planted in the fall. Wasn't sure if we'd have any, since I don't think they got enough sun. The heads were a little bit on the small side, but we had enough for pesto, and it was really tasty. For some reason, I got a huge kick out of having my own garlic. I think because the other herbs have been out for a few years, but this was my first go at garlic. I was so proud of pesto with my own garlic and my own basil! Yum! I don't think I'm up to the pinenuts though...
