I'll try phonetically.

Jaune Flammee:
Jaune Flamme = yellow flame in French I think Jaune is pronounced as in jaundice. and flamme is pronounced flame with the "a" sounding like"ah" dcarch (edit) Carolyn and I were trying to respond at the same time

Oui. I'm with Tom.
And it's much easier if you have a glass or three of wine. As the French are prone to do. |

I gave two of the lady teachers at the school I was at today a JF to try, and knowing they would ask what is this one, I wrote the name down and gave them the piece of paper and said "you tell me , please"
One is an Italian language teacher and the other has toured Europe recently. They both gave the same as Carolyns reply above, but they were not sure of the translation. Google tells me Yellow Flame as Dcarch says above. Thanks all, I can go to bed a wiser man tonight. But the beers will probably make me ever dumber by the morning hic |

Ok, both me and google translator give up. Half a box of Hahn Ice is not helping here. (Bad day, teachers laptops that I have to fix after their kids (siblings) have been downloading porn).
Love being up this late but. The tele says "just text speed to 199943949 and we'll connect you to a girl in your street" . There should be laws against this. I digress, yes JF is a kickass tomato that I will grow till a better one of this size comes along. I don't think it will happen. Bed now Chow, Don't know the french for goodbye or goodnight . LOL , I just had a thought ,maybe some of the northerners could throw in some suggestions. |

My French is a little rusty, but I would pronounce it...
Jaune = Zhoan (like Joan Rivers but change the J to a zh or try to pronounce "she" but with a "zh" instead of a "sh". Flamme = Flum (halfway between plum and plam) Jaune Flamme is yellow flame. P.S. Jaune Flammé (which would be pronounced zhoan flam-may) with the accent is not correct.

Personally, French is way too complicated with regard to pronounciation. It's kind of a silly, mush-mouthed lingo ... well, the continental version anyway.
So, I'd pronounce it "yah-mah am-mah-ree-yah" (llama amarilla) since Spanish is a much more logical language pronounciation-wise. PV |
