Hi all.
I've wondered for several months if there would be some interesting genes to get from that commercial variety. Few of you might know it, as it's been on the market for a few years only, property of Saveol, a French company "specialized" ![]() The ad said it had high lycopen content so I bought two or three to keep seeds. It must be a hybrid, of course, so I know what to expect from it at F2. The high lycopen content made me think of some interesting genes such as hp-1, hp-2... Google is nice and translated this page in English for you (or tried so, at least). The flesh had normal red color or a bit brighter, the seeds gel was bright colored, and the "placenta" around also, I think. I sowed them a bit more than two weeks ago. I expect them to flower early enough, so I can make experiments to verify my hypothesis, and try to make something like that : http://www.springerimages.com/Images...19-0194-1_12-3 http://jhered.oxfordjournals.org/content/99/3/292.full |
