Helsing ★★★★★★★★ Blue - Tom Wagner
Growing Hesling ★★★★★★★★ Blue. It is an interesting plant with few curled leaves.
Taste is not really mild but more mellow yet a fairly complex, well balanced taste. Very nice! |

Helsing ★★★★★★★★ Blue is is being selected to be an OP line with a bit of variation yet to self out. It was named out of about 100 or so clones segregating for blue fruits during the 2010 season. The name...HELSING ★★★★★★★★ BLUE.... was to honor the CSA of the same name just 14 miles from where the plant was grown along the Chehalis River.
Again today as last I did last year...I am drying the fruits after I extract the seed. Here is a shot of the fruit starting to dry. The dried tomatoes have a fairly blue look. I will be posting some recipes for drying Helsing ★★★★★★★★ Blue tomatoes and how to use them in dishes. I hope to build up the seed stocks of this clone, however with all the lines I have just in the blues....my work is cut out for me. I should have F-6 seed to sow next Spring |

I just bought some seed. How large are the Helsing ★★★★★★★★ Blues plants? I'm in the planning stages for the garden. Thanks!

I use concrete re-wire cages...about 5' tall. I spaced them every two feet on center. The plants did grow out the top here in WI.
Hope that helps and enjoy the toms! |

HELSING ★★★★★★★★ BLUE is listed at the website my friend, Rob, is puting together at http://newworldcrops.com/wp/shop/2012-tomatoes/
The seed I am sending out is from a selected single plant that produced hundreds of fruit for me this past season. It is, indeed, indeterminate. Look around the listing.....quite a few to give you some alternatives to the original INDIGO ROSE. Whenever I get around to it....I will describe some more seeds to list....from the looks of my email account I may have to...74 orders for seed are in just today! Tom Wagner |

Tom
Helsing ★★★★★★★★ Blue did produce very well for me last year. I ordered more seed from you today and look forward to growing it out again this year. Very nice tomato. I will have a bunch of new ones in my garden thanks to NewWorldCrops. Cant wait to watch them grow! Green Zebra was one of my first "unusual" toms that really got me hit with the tomato growing bug. I would love to see some of these pop up one the website giving a chance to get some seed from the source. Thinking of you and for speedy better health. Thanks! Charles |

Yes, I went to the website and ordered seed for three different tomatoes this morning: Helsing ★★★★★★★★ Blues, Russian Cossack and Shadow Boxing. I am in the planning stages of my garden and would like any and all information there is as to size of these plants and approximate days to maturity. Hopefully, I didn't get ahead of myself, as we have trouble growing out really long season tomatoes here in Reno.
