Squash problem
I am growing Round de Nice squash. Lately when I pick them, where the flower is, or was, it's brown and slimy icky. I am suspecting snails. Anybody?thanks

Is it some kind of rot? I would like to know too. All my zucchini plants were affected and the center part sort of melted away. Pulled them all out and replanted with beans which are doing better.

Sounds like BER, just like in tomatoes. Should go away, with time and even, consistent watering.

I get the slimy icky situation when the petals don't completely fall off. The flower sticks to the squash and then decomposes. The squash itself is fine. Is this what you have?

Yes , Tormato. It didn't happen at the first of the season, though. I'm in N E Texas, and we did have more rain this year.
