Startin' Earlies yet? :-)
Well?
I must confess... I started a few yesterday, which get planted on the average last frost date of April 20th in a protected bed. Lisa

I've got these coming along pretty well. Not sure how many/which ones will go into the greenhouse or early bed.

Lisa:
Genovese Basil and all peppers were seedsd 2/09 with bottom heat. Basil was up and running 2/13 and some peppers are emerging. Twelve varieties of early tomatoes will be seeded 2/15 and will go out in the mini-hoophouse about 4/15. Balance of tomatoes will be seeded about 3/19. We got about 8" of snow and sleet yesterday and now it's drifting in where it was just cleaned out. Ohio weather !!! Earl, you're way out ahead of me and they are looking great. Go GO GO !!! Dave |

You early birds are killing me.
I don’t even have my seed starting table cleaned off yet. But then I don’t start anything until the middle of March.

Dave,
The 15 day forecast at AccuWeather.com indicates this cold weather will last until around Feb. 22nd and then we'll start seeing 40s and 50s for highs. So hang in there! :-) |

Hey Y'all,
How's it going? How are those plants coming along? Did you get out and enjoy the lovely weather we've been having? I got 4 beds planted: 1) Onions with Radishes 2) Broccoli Rapini 3) and 4) in cutting lettuces. All were covered with row covers and should provide a little harvest by the last Saturday in April, which is the first day of Farmers' Market. We also took advantage of the nice window of weather and got the HFGH put together.... finally! Potted up the early tomatoes, which includes Kimberly, Taxi and Lime Green Salad. They'll go in the ground under hoops in 4 weeks... hopefully. So glad Spring is on it's way! And LOVIN' the time change! Lisa
