Should I pot up Tomatillos? I'm growing Cossack's Pineapple and the seedling seem VERY small. Like too small to handle. Do I need to do this?
I started alot of seed and plan on growing two plants. Should I break the cell pack in half, pot up, and just snip the ones I don't want? Thanks, Greg |

They are tough little buggers - I had 40 in one small cell, divided them up into 40 4 inch pots even when tiny, and expect them all to make it - they are really as tough as weeds!
The other thing you can do - pot up a couple (break them off from the edge, including the roots of course) and plop the rest into a 3 inch pot just in case you need them (if the ones you transplant pass away!)

I am growing tomatillo seedlings as well. Mine are so tiny and tall and look so fragile so nice to know they are stronger than they look. Kinda like me!
![]() Mine don't have any true leaves so should I wait to pot them up? Cheers! |

Hmmm... I to will be needing to know this soon enough - those little Cossack Pineapples were slower to start but now they are coming on...

I potted up my tomatillos about 2 weeks ago, they weren't very big (just one set of true leaves) they are chugging along just fine.
