Default potting soil below seed starter

Planning to soak parsley seeds and start flats with parsley , marigolds, mint, pepper and tomato seeds over the next day or so.
Question: has anyone strong opinions, reasons, or thoughts (nay or yea) upon using potting soil as a base beneath my seed starter in my planting flats? Using Fafard products. And deep 54 and 36 cell flats.

Thanks
