Default Gotta love 3 day germination!! :)

Started Sat morn, placed in front of a South facing window with heat mat. 15 different varieties are showing signs of life!
Spring can't come soon enough!

Not bad, GSS. What kind of total numbers and plant-out schedule are you shooting for?

About 34 plants in raised beds, a bunch of dwarves in pots. Looking to plant out first week of april, maybe second if weather is cold.

Prettier than magic, to imagine all the big tomatoes that you'll get from those tiny things!

Makes a person feel good.

I bought some Large Red Cherry seeds by American Seed at wmart, soaked in chamomille tea and put them on top of the fridge. Three days and they were popping up.

Yep, it does make a person feel good.

Gonna start in 9 days for zone 7A in Md. A bit early but I do the cold treatment so I guess that slows me a bit. Nice start!

best germination setup i ever had was in our first house in calumet. the bedrooms had those heavy old metal radiators with a dial on the bottom to regulate the heat. i would put a towel on top of the thing, and then place the seed tray on top of that. three or four days was all it took for the seeds to pop. peppers would be up within a week. it was great!

I once had seeds germinate so fast they sprouted in my hand ran out to the garden and planted themselves.
It was early in the spring and a late frost came along, the plants snatched up some fuzzy caterpillars and used them as fur coats.
Wildest thing I ever saw.

Question. Are the seedlings which germinate in optimum conditions more healthy than the ones which germinate in lower temps? Or is it more important to give the seedlings better conditions once the germination process is over?
