So I started a potato plant about a month and a half ago because I had a golden fingering that didn't get eaten spout in the house. Plant grew fast in a 5 gallon pot, but died the other day after a windstorm. I dumped out the pot yesterday and and had this massive harvest waiting for me... it was just for a bit of fun, (I grow tomatoes not potatoes) but just may grow a few plants in the garden next spring. I came home from work today, and my wonderful wife had them all set to go with dinner

LOL - Looks like my harvest of a couple of days ago from the edge of the compost pile. Apparently I tossed a tater in there and it rolled off the side and it never cooked. Moving the stack I found this scraggly potato plant with some decent little spuds under it - about 1.5 cups worth cut up when they got tossed in last night's soup.

Hey Jon, small or big harvest doesn't matter much but is the best flavor once you eat it right away. I must warn you that once you get started with potatoes, particularly GOOD potatoes then you keep adding more and more and more...

I must say, they did taste very good. I will be giving the potatoes some space in my garden in the spring. I also thought the plants themselves looked nice.
