Default Earthbox Staking -

Hey everyone hope all is well. Getting warm out there - we simply can't wait!

Quick question:

How do you stake / cage your earthbox, or homemade earthbox containers?

Looking for some ideas.

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,

See this link on my self-supporting cage system. Also, the cable guy-wire is essential to keep the cages rigid, with "port" and "starboard" rigging.

BTW, did you ever get my PM regarding your Brandywine x NAR seeds?

(Quick Answer)
TT, check out this thread on PVC cage for EB's. Can be used on existing planted EB's, adjustable to anysized container and no drilling.

I think I'm going to try something different.

Was thinking bamboo poles cut to certain lengths tied with rope -
I'll post pics soon.

Hey Bingster,

Welcome to Tomatoville!!

It was your "Container Pics 2007" thread on another site that inspired me to go out and spend $1500+ on converting from in-ground to my 26 EarthTainer "farm" this year (Dear Wife has a few not-so-kind words for you).

Be sure to post your 2008 Container Pics, as I am sure you will inspire others to give it a go.

Raybo

I'm sure you'll get big kisses though when she has that first BLT this year!!! You also need to tell her of all the money you're saving. Saw your set-up (real nice!) and your price per tomato will be miniscule as compared to the store!

cheers

Thanks ami,

This system worked great for me last year so I've tripled my set-up for this year. Hope last year wasn't a fluke!! Raybo (Mewste) has done a great job of taking these boxes to the next level...check out his posts at GW.

Thanks for the welcome

cheers
