lettuce and herb question
i have some lettuce and common thyme started and they have been under lights for a while now. do they have to be slowly introduced to the sun like tomatoes or can i just throw em out in the garden?

Jeff, I would think they also need hardening off just from my experience with flowers, kales and the like.
Some plants seem to take quite well. It's going to be a nice week, but with a few cold nights. Some of my plants are outdoors catching a bit of sun today, but only because I'm working from home, and "I" want to be outdoors too . I had a small tray of lettuce outside yesterday and forgot to bring it in. It is still sitting there and seems to be just fine. Test a few plants and see what happens. It's not like it's going to be really hot yet (if it is a little shade would help).

I like to put mine outside in partial shade for about a week before I transplant them into their beds. On the otherhad, if i have several cloudy/mostly cloudy days forecast I will just go ahead and set them out.
