THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY VARIETIES. I'm sitting here staring and trying to imagine. Also, is there really a tomato known as Hank ?

Earl, I think you are nuts. I am trying to grow 100 different varieties and know that I'm nuts.
How in the world will you ever tie them all up and keep up with them. Birds and squirrels steal my labels and I lose my lists. I guess you must be much more organized than me. Just kidding and good luck.

That's more practical and certainly easier than caging or trellising. I can't let them sprawl because of the slugs and diseases just completely destroy them before they can make much in the way of usable fruit. I have a hard enough time keeping them alive above the ground. I sometimes let a couple sprawl but I never seem to get any tomatoes off of any of them except occasionally cherries.

Ah HA! I now know your secret! You fertilize with gasoline!

Seriously though...great spot, beautiful garden...I can't imagine growing that many varieties. 83 this year almost did me in!
