Where do you buy your seeds?
Im starting to get motivated to start my own plants from seeds. Where do you guys buy your seeds? Any particularly good online source? Is it too late to order catalogs? Will they come in time?

This will help.
As far as I know all of these (but not excluding the others) are a good place to shop. Personally I have only ordered from Tomato growers supply. You should get your seeds within a week from any of these folks. http://www.tomatogrowers.com/ http://www.seedsavers.org/Items.aspx?hierId=43 http://www.jungseed.com/dc.asp?c1=Tomatoes&c=150 http://www.mariseeds.com/seedcatalog/catcontents.html http://www.newhopeseed.com/tomato_main.html Be forewarned you will see so many varieties you wont be able to make up your mind. My personal favorite as far as best service and communication is
http://sampleseeds.com/ Have ordered from there 2 times and seeds were always quick to arrive. All of the seed sellers I have used that were on that list though were great, just with Sample seeds she has always emailed me to let me know the order has shipped and to thank me for my business. So when possible I do order there first. |

I'm sitting here admiring the seed I just received from Sandhill Preservation. You might take a look for very reasonable prices on a very large selection.
You can find most of the seed companies mentioned listed in this webpage. http://www.selectedplants.com/seedsupplies.htm DarJones |

I've had good luck with both Knapps and Sample Seed Shop.

I am very partial to Sandhill Preservation Center. They do have a web site but do not take credit card orders. As I recall.

I have bought from Sandhill, TGS, and Johnny's and have been happy but the others mentioned in thread are all highly recomended suppliers. This year I do not think I need anything other than I have to look to see if I have Omar's Lebonese (SP?) and not sure it will be grown this year or not as I have not even started to plan my list yet but I know I have seed for more varities then I can plant this year.
