Ferry-Morse Seed Company
Yeah, so I was at the nursery a couple of weeks ago getting some supplies and I saw these Box Car Willie seeds from Ferry-Morse. As if I needed more seeds to plant...
Anyway, I bought them and then I saw posts about a fake Box Car Willie that people generally liked anyway, but it was still fake. I understand this seed company has been around a long time, but you never know how whether it is the original company - most likely not. So my question is: Who, if any of you, has experience growing their seeds, and can I expect this to be the genuine Box Car Willie? |

I have used Ferry-Morse seeds for many different vegetable varieties and have never had any problems with germination or wrong varieties.
The company was purchased by Jiffy International in 2005 (makers of peat products and more) but I've seen nothing negative come of it. Unlike other companies that buy a company that exists on paper, in name only (Gurney's, Henry Fields, Comstock Ferre, etc.) Ferry-Morse retained their employees and original seed lines and have continuously operated out of their facility in Fulton, KY.
