Default My greenhouse veggies

Last year, I bought some discounted cold tolerant tomato seeds to see if I can grow them without too much trouble in my greenhouse through the winter. Growing and getting ripe tomatoes through the winter has taken a lot longer than I thought it would. I am thinking about topping them, so the tomatoes they have on will ripen faster. The tomatoes that are coloring up first are: Lizzano, Stupice and Glacier. Lorri D

They look great Lori. I have a few plants in my small greenhouse and have been getting enough to eat and really enjoy for this time of year. We have also had very good luck with lettuce.

Keep up the good work!

Very nice! I grow Terrenzo, which is very similar to Lizzano. The flavor is very good.

You are right, I've got a bit of lettuce, chard and spinach out there too.

I think the shorter days really slow plant growth down in the winter regardless of the temperature.
