Need some seeds for project....
Hey guys Jasper Elementary School here in Jasper Tennessee has planted 50 or so fruit trees and is in the process of making a nature walk thru a woodded and swampy creek area around the school property...now they are working on a butterfly garden and a large sunflower garden these last two projects are being done by the kindergarten and first grades..i have exhausted depleted my supply of seeds and am still short by a long shot....they are also building a green house which will be available to the students as part of science class next year... im in need of flower seeds that attract butterflies and sunflower seeds for the sunflower garden (which is 3/4 acres) the seeds will be used not only to teach but as attractant for native birds..any help would be great...seeds may be sent to me at the following...

Gizzard, a great project for elementary school kids. I just did an online order with American Meadows out of Vermont for a 1/4 pound of sunflower seeds and 10 packs of their butterfly Garden Mini-packets. Had them shipped to the Sheriffs Dept. Ami

I have some sunflower seed I just bought that I can mail tomorrow, and when I check the rest of my seed I will probably have some seed left from my butterfly garden. Great project, my 6 year old granddaughter is learning/loving to garden with her Nanny (me). I love to watch her face as she learns new skills, I bought her a little pink hoe today and I am off work tomorrow; BOY will we have fun.

Gizzard, I'll send a postcard with a German stamp on it to you so you can pass it on to the kids. Ami

Gizzard - I have a lot of tithonia - Mexican sunflower - the orange ones. If someone hasn't sent them, let me know! They are absolute butterfly magnets starting with the swallowtails and ending with tons of monarches. Piegirl
