Tim, your pics are not showing tonight - at least using my browser! (I get just red Xs in small boxes).
They are ripe when they drop off, though are sweeter if the husk goes brown and dry. Taste them at different stages to see how ripe you should get them for your taste. I have mine growing in a pot.

I can't see the pictures either but I'm curious to know if you're referring to the tomatillo Cossack Pineapple or the tomato variety Cossack?
I know, I know, if I saw the pictures I'd know which one. But I did get kinda faked out one time when someone used the name Cossack Pineapple and it turned out to be the large orange tomato variety Cossack.

Right click on box and click on open image.
I did the minute I saw the red X in the box b'c right clicking usually does work, but it didn't for me, in this particular case. Did it work for you?

The right click thing must have particular server dependencies, because it does not work for me (I use Exporer). I can't see any of the pics Tim's posted anywhere here at Tville.

I just don't understand what's going on. Mischka is trying to help. I see some of them here on the computer at work now but I didn't see any here earlier.
Thanks for the comments. I hope to have this resolved soon. Tim

I am using Netscape and I didn't even see a red X or a box -- there's just empty space there, nothing to right-click on. I was able to see the pics by going thru "view page source" and copying the URL from there.

I'm working on it - should be able to see them soon.

That plant looks exactly like the "Cape Gooseberry" I used to grow when I lived in GA. I think Cossack Pineapple was another common name for it. It's a delicious little "tomato/tomatillo"! The fruit always turned yellowish for me and the "husk" would open. They rarely made it in from the garden!

I can see the pics now right in the thread, so I think the pic problem is fixed.

Looks good. Tim, have any dropped yet? Have you tasted it? One thing to watch - they are quite sweet and tend to attract small ants (they also attract my dogs, who eat all of the dropped fruit before I can get to them if I turn my back on them!). What do you think???

Thanks again BC.
Hunter my wife tasted them at last years Tomatopalooza. She loved them and requested ( she said, "grow 'em or else" ) that I grow it next year. Craig I haven't seen any drop yet and I have not tried one yet either. I am growing it in the front yard away from my dogs and other 'maters. I have eagerly awaited these as much or more than anything else so I hope they'll ripen soon. Tim
