Default potato onions

will potato onion grow ok if planted in spring? I have read where fall planting is the best..also where I live no one seems to have heard of potato onion or Egyptain walking onions both of which I want to accquire. thanks for any help

I planted potato onions in the fall and also 2 types of walking onions but I had one type that was planted in late Spring last year, they didn't do well so I planted new ones in the fall..they are small but doing OK.
