size question
If a Micro Tom was crossed with a rather big mini Dwarf such as Chibikko or Mohamed what size F1 plants would be expected ? Smaller like Micro Tom bigger like Chibikko or in-between ?

MICRO TOM is a det dwarf about 6 inches high.
CHIBIKKO is a det dwarf about 12 inches high at maturity. Make the cross and tell us. My bet is that the hybrid will be closer to Chibikko I have had lots of experience with hybridizing dwarf tomato plants but have not talked about them much here. I am sending a whole array of dwarf tomato seed to Hawaii for a seed increase and hopefully a breeding program for dwarf hybrids creation. Micro Tom is a variety I used in breeding soon after it was released over twenty years ago but have used the parental stock Florida Petite much more. FP flows in many of my creations. Determinate dwarf is different from indeterminate dwarf and Micro Tom is a det dwarf brachytic. Quote:
