This year I have several landrace cherries that early on matured fruit in shades of orange but now, later in the season, are maturing as bright red. I don't think it was just a case of not wanting to wait to pick those first fruit
; I think the stronger sun and warmer temperatures are responsible. It is an interesting effect.
