Oh, sure, Neohippie, it's all very well to declare May 14 World Naked Gardening Day when you're in Texas! What about us Zone 5-ers? I suppose I would have survived it today---high of about 65---but it wouldn't have been comfortable, and really, what's the point of being in the garden if it isn't making you feel good? And as all Zone 5 tomato growers know, most years we could easily get frost mid-May.
If it's going to catch on in Ontario, it's going to have to be a bit later in the year. Talk to me in August and I think I could get into this idea. (Tomatoes are tall enough then to provide some cover, too....)
Mind you, that makes it winter in Australia and New Zealand. I think there might have to be two different dates to make it a truly "world" event....
