I think you are using too much Perlite (1:1:1) for self-wicking, and would re-plant at this early stage.

I have experimented with many different mixes and ratios in SWC applications, and the one that works best for me is a 3:2:1 ratio of Pro-mix, Bark chips, and Perlite in that order.
