I just used Permethrin spray on all my cucumber, bean, tomato, and pepper plants due to a huge outbreak of flea beetles. I usually have to do this at least once or twice every spring. I also spray the mulch lightly under all my plants to kill as many as I can. It doesn't seem to harm any of the plants and they usually look much better in just a day or two without those little pests sucking the life out of them.
