I bought half a dozen tissue culture fig plants in 2016, and I will finally be getting some figs off them in their third year.
Meanwhile, unrooted cuttings acquired at the same time not only grew much faster, but fruited in their second year.
Tissue culture should be disease-free, unlike cuttings where you don't know for sure, but I'd rather not wait an extra year for fruit.
