aflatoxins can kill you, if they infect bird seed the birds die.
ergot in rye is also toxic and is thought to have caused hallucinations that resulted in witch trials.
citing these 2 does not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. personally i would not eat tomato or potato leaves.
