BVGardener is the fellow who crossed Cherokee Purple x German Red Strawberry attempting to get a purple strawberry. Many of us now grow a selection of his that we call Not Purple Strawberry ... a truly great tasting tomato. The "BV" stands for Brazos Valley. He used to be a wonderful contributor to the tomato discussions.
I found him and his name is Jay.And I also remember the many pictures of his property and gardens, and something about his mowing his front lawn.

I knew of his connection with some JD=Special ones but I didn't know that he was the one who bred NPS.
