Howdy neighbor. I was at the field day in Alcalde earlier in the summer and there was a presentation on soil biology. I hadn't realized what a complex community lay beneath the ground. They use DNA analysis to determine what microorganisms are present in the soil and to get a count, which is pretty amazing.
It's a clear blue sky here, but really cold. I was sent some seeds by a friend which I'm sorting through. Most of the varieties I've never heard of. Anyway, it's a fine way to spend a short winter day!
