We had Easter dinner with my mother on Saturday and it was a treat.
Mom roasted chunks of potato and sweet potato and a big slab of salmon. I made mussels in black tomato aspic - from frozen tomatoes of course - and served on a bed of chickweed since that's the only green thing I have besides onions.
And a few bits of endive from the farm cellar. And I made blueberry cake with cinnamon glaze for dessert. And bro brought a loaf of delicious sourdough, but of course he didn't make that.
Best of all, Mom finally heard me whining that we never get chocolate bunnies any more
, she bought us each a ritzy dark chocolate bar.
Treat!!!
Worth, I have the same problem so I learned my lesson, do the bulk cooking before you start a project, so you have some ready meals in the freezer you can dump in a pot and reheat. Cracker day is never a good day for me.
Oakley, it's nice to see the Mt. Scio savory in your kitchen. I thought no one in the world appreciates the savory but us here.
