Oakley, those are great-looking tomatoes! What is the striped green slicer? Green Zebra? (I grew Dwarf Summertime Green as my green-when-ripe this year, and am still waiting for a ripe one. They were really late to set fruit.)

Salt -- Interesting article, and timely. I took some tomatoes to my office yestereday -- Jaune Flamme, SunGold, a bunch of red varieties, some browns/blacks, and some pinks. At the end of the day, the pink ones were still sitting there. One of my colleagues said that she expected pinks to tasted like grocery-store tomatoes because they're so pale. I encouraged her to try one anyway, since pink and red are the same on the inside. I await the results of her taste-test...
