I am getting ready to beat the "averages " , "statisticals " , "traditionals ". by about ONE MONTH. Sure there is a risk but also there is a reward.
As of yesterday I have 4 pioneers . I will plant some more one March 4th.
I asked the old guy, down the road (on Jan 5th) : "when do you think plant out date is in the garden ? "In May,I think " se said. . Well, they were planting maters in their greenhouse then. (The old man , about my age and his son ). Now the county extension center literature says April 10th. Hmmm. But how about March 10th ? I am shooting to harvest ripe tomatoes by early May.
