I use flat rate boxes/padded mailers for the bean people. The cost is somewhere between 6 and 7 dollars (one way). It might be over $7 for the padded envelope, currently. Participants use these because the weight easily goes past 13 ounces.

For tomatoes, peppers, other light seeds, and just a few packs of heavier seeds, first class and a plain bubble mailer is more economical.
