Darlene, when I opened the plastic bag that Dennis had the two Dester fruits in there was a piece of paper that said Dester Amish, but I'm not so sure that's the correct name for the variety.

SSE refers to it just as Dester and last night I went to Larry's website and he has it as Dester.....Amish Beefsteak, so it seems to me he's just decribing an Amish origin and a fruit shape and Amish is not part of the variety name.

If he had written Dester Amish Beefsteak without the ....... part between Dester and Amish I would have concluded differently I think.

Which to me, anyway, suggests the name should be just Dester.

Opinions anyone?
