Does anyone have any good ways to use chestnuts besides boiling or roasting?

I have 3 trees and usually just roast or microwave some nuts for snacking but I have never used any in recipes except for chestnut stuffing one year for Thanksgiving. It was not a big hit and I think that it had to do with the fact that the firm pieces of chestnut with the soft bread seemed unappealing.

I was thinking of dehydrating some nuts and grinding into a powder to add to stuffing but I really could use some other ideas if anybody has any.
