I think the pods in the first pic look like they were imported by aliens while you slept. Might actually be a cross, but I bet they're hotter than the others. Except for the gnarly arthritic form, they are as close to the phenotype as the others.
The pictured plant, I was going to comment on earlier. Mine in mostly full sun were more tree-like in form - later in the year not so much low foliage. What sun pattern does that guy get?
