This is kind of interesting.
I have done some researching on the web and answers are all over the place.
One so called expert says one thing, the next says the complete opposite.

I have found a few sources that say there will be swing years of very heavy productions.
I'd love to know.
I have a bunch of pine trees all over the front and backyard. Two trees immediately come to mind.....I have two Austrian pines in my backyard. One on each side. One tree dumps bushels and bushels of pine cones.
On the other hand, the other Austrian only seems to produce a handful every year.
