Hi David
I've had good luck with early girl, Celebrity, Ace, Better boy, Husky Cherry..This is the first year I have tried a pink Brandywine and it looks really good, but I only have about 8 tomatoes on it, but it's just so hot, but there still setting fruit slowly, I'm going to try planting from seed next year to get away from buying from the big hardware stores, I bought 7 plants and within a week two of them were already showing disease and had to pull them, went and bought two more and planted them they worked out ok, one of them was a beefsteak tomato plant it said and it's only 2 feet tall and the rest of my plants are 5 feet or taller, I think it's some type of patio tomato, it has tomatoes on it, but it’s not what I wanted, kind of ticks me off! To find out 3 months after you plant it to see what is really is, so after reading here on the TV site I have seen a few good Idea’s, I’m looking for the best tomato to grow in hot weather for next year, but the one’s I listed above always produce really good for me, I have been picking daily for about 2 weeks, I planted late..Around April 5th or 6th, Early girl always have the first ripe fruit of the season for me.
