they hate the cold and I found they cant be planted out in the UK until end of may but safer in early june because if you get frost they are all dead

Like the regular beans then. We have a really hard time to grow a bean here. Don't get bean planting temperatures until July... if we get them at all. And they are cold stressed before they're done making beans, more times than not. It is not shaping up to be a bean year, so I guess I'll keep them for another year.
