YES! I originally planted one in a 5-gallon bucket but a week or 2 later I dug it up and put it in a hanging basket---buckets were at a premium in my yarden! I've never grown anything in a hanging basket before and it's not a big one, matter of fact it's one of those round bottom fake-moss-lined types, but it's doing well so far & some are starting to ripen. Currently some are about Sungold color, about marble size. will have to see if they turn red! I have them on a shepherd's hook velcroed to a 5ft tall 3x7ft galvanized crw tomato pen on the driveway. I still need to run a drip line to it... here's a pic from the end of June, I ran a wooden marshmallow roasting stick through the chains so it doesn't spin around... and the main stem goes over it; the bottom of the basket clears the 5ft tall cage by about an inch.
