Years ago I used to be able to buy monster yellow onions at the store that came out of the valley.
These things were bigger than softballs and as good and any Vidalia could be if not better.
Vidalia isnt a variety it is the place where they are grown they are actually Granex from Texas.

After reading about onions it makes me wonder if a person could control the light and temperature and make them keep getting bigger.
Maybe a basketball sized onion.
