It sure is possible - we have some released dwarfs with variegation (using Variegated for a breeding partner). There is also a nice variegated indeterminate named Blue's Bling, which is essentially Cherokee Purple with variegated foliage. I used it as a crossing partner with Polish and Little Lucky, and now have some F3 delicious potato leaf variegated selections that are yellow/red bicolor, and purple. It's a fun gene to play with.
