This could be a symptom of the roots not taking up moisture even though it has plenty to take.
Nematodes maybe?
Grub worms?
It could also be the variety difference from one plant and the other.
When plants get too hot they sometimes wilt to conserve moisture then perk back up as you said.
Your temps of 92 don’t seem to be that hot though.

At what temp do the plants start to wilt?
