I have a craftsman lawnsweeper that we have used for over 10 years. They are durable, but it really only gets used twice a year heavily. Once at planting and about midway will hit again with another round of clippings. Biggest threat to longevity is the material around hopper fraying but if you keep it inside much less of issue.



What I like about them vs. a bagger is that you can dump the bail and keep rolling. I think most baggers someone has to physically get off the mower and dump them.


And something I just found out yesterday because my son borrowed it for this purpose, but they will pick up acorns. So I guess hypothetically, for the right crop they might be used as a harvesting tool.
