I know about your snow hardship up in PNW. I lived there 3 years but never saw a major snow fall in Seattle, WA area.
Anyway, our spring naturally should arrive on time, here in NC. By then (March 21st) I might even attempt planting out few tomatoes.
Maple trees are budding here now, beautiful pink
