That's true and these seeds came from peppers from Hatch Valley NM. A local grocery store had a guy roasting them outside to promote them, even the tag said from Hatch Valley NM. I bought a few green ones and saved the seeds.
Edited to add: The tag said that 3 peppers were bred to get this pepper.
