What did I feed them? Well, a generous dose of rabbit manure and at that time some 13-13-13. Maybe a quart to 100 feet of row.
Can you use them as tomato stakes? No, they rot in the ground too fast. I used a chainsaw to cut them up and burned them in my heater. They make a pretty good fire but burn a bit fast. I saved a ton of seed though so have plenty to keep growing.
