Up here the humidity during the warmer months often causes bad things to happen if I try hanging veggies or herbs up to dry. The only thing I've been able to do that with successfully are the thin-walled Italian peppers I grow for making Italian paprika. They don't mature until late September after the summer heat and humidity are gone.
