I do start inside under lights.
Take the lid off when most have germinated.
Remove heat mat when only one or two have not germinated.
Harden about a week prior to planting by moving the tray outdoors. I start with a couple of hours and gradually increase. Did that today, but as the seedlings had gotten large a bit early I had already placed the sponges in red solo cups with some potting soil and placed in a larger tray.
