Oh, life is certainly different when considering the weather. If there's one thing I really appreciated about living in Northern California it was the long strings of sunny days in the summer. But granted, NJ has some wonderfully rural parts to it within a mere hour from NYC. You can easily get lost in the woods if you wish to.
